Here’s how spring flowers can bring you home

The snowdrops have blossomed, and here come the daffodils. I don’t know about you, but as the days lengthen and the light grows, I feel a surge of joy.

Whatever life throws at you, there’s always the beauty of the natural world to bring us back into balance. If you’re feeling ungrounded, caught up in anxiety or in a whirlwind of change, take five minutes today to drop into your sensual nature. Our senses are key to becoming present with ourselves. They bring us back into body, into the deep earth of our physical being. From there, we find balance and a new place from which we can respond to life’s challenges. We also find pleasure through our senses – this is medicine for our nervous systems.

Here’s three ways to receive the pleasure and joy of your sensual nature.

1. Gaze at a flower long enough to deeply appreciate its beauty in structure,

colour and form.

2. Breathe deeply the freshness of the spring air. Feel its temperature and

texture as it enters your lungs.

3. Touch a tree, stroke a leaf and feel how this touch calms and centres you.

I hope this is supportive to you as we emerge from a long winter into early spring. If you are navigating challenges and change in your life and need additional support, I am opening up some more 1:1 sessions – if this is what you need, hit the button below.
